N. Jeremi Duru is Professor of Law and Director of the Sport & Society Initiative at American University’s Washington College of Law.  He earned degrees from Harvard Law School, Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government, and Brown University. Duru is one of the nation’s foremost sports law authorities, having authored or co-authored five books in the space, including one of the field’s premier textbooks, Sports Law and Regulation: Cases and Materials and one of the field’s premier explorations of sports agency, The Business of Sports Agents.  He has conducted research or delivered lectures throughout the world and on every continent (other than Antarctica) and believes strongly in the transformative power of sport.  He lives in Silver Spring, MD and is married with three children, for whom he wrote You Are My Favorite Story.
